New Zealand Steel is the country’s sole steel producer, operating a fully integrated steel mill at Glenbrook. Using locally sourced ironsand, they manufacture a range of flat steel products for the building, rural, packaging and transport sectors as well as steel billet for Pacific Steel. New Zealand Steel operates under the ISO14001 Environmental Management System and is best known for brands such as COLORSTEEL® prepainted steel, ZINCALUME® coated steel and AXXIS® steel for framing.
